Care Instructions
General Care
Avoid Water Saturation: This product is highly sensitive to moisture. Liquid contact will leave permanent water marks and ring stains on the Duchess satin exterior.
Keep Away from Heat: High temperatures can melt the synthetic polyester fibres and prematurely snap the internal rubber threads of the elastic. Keep it away from radiators and open flames.
Chemical Safety: Never spray hairspray, texturizing sprays, or dry shampoo while wearing the scrunchie. Apply all hair products first, allow them to dry completely, and then style your hair with the scrunchie.
Cleaning
Spot Clean Only: Address accidental spills immediately. Do not submerge, machine wash, or dry clean this item.
Dabbing Technique: Use a clean, dry, white microfibre cloth to gently dab away fresh liquids. Never rub or scrub the satin, as this will fray the delicate weave and permanently ruin the lustre.
Handling Dried Stains: For dried-on dirt, use a barely damp cloth with a tiny drop of eco-friendly, mild detergent. Gently dab the area, then follow with a dry cloth to absorb any remaining moisture instantly.
No Steamers: Do not use steam or standard irons to remove creases from the gathers, as water droplets will cause immediate spotting on the Duchess satin.
Handling &Use
Protect the Weave: Duchess satin is prone to snagging. Be mindful of rough surfaces, sharp jewellery, sequins, or abrasive clothing textures when wearing the bag.
Friction Awareness: Try to avoid sliding the scrunchie out aggressively, as pulling can cause hair breakage and friction damage to the satin. Instead, unloop it gently step-by-step.
Gentle Tension: Do not over-stretch the scrunchie or force extra loops around thick hair bun styles. While the elastic is exceptionally high-quality, excessive force can snap the interior join or pop the main satin seam.
Weather Alert: Guard the bag against heavy rain. If it accidentally gets wet, blot it dry immediately with a soft towel and let it air-dry naturally at room temperature.
Storage
Store Relaxed: When not in use, do not leave the scrunchie stretched over a wide water bottle or display stand. Store it completely relaxed to preserve the elastic memory of the internal band.
Use a Breathable Box: Place your scrunchies inside a breathable cotton fabric pouch or a shallow storage box to protect the polyester weave from dust and snags. Never use plastic bags, which trap humidity.
Avoid Compression: Do not pile heavy items or heavier hair accessories on top of your stored scrunchies, as heavy pressure will permanently flatten the voluminous, gathered satin shapes.
Environment: Keep your storage area cool, dark, and completely dry. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or UV rays will fade the rich colours over time.
