General Care
Avoid Water Saturation: This product is highly sensitive to moisture. Liquid contact will leave permanent water marks and ring stains on the Duchess satin surface.
Keep Away from Heat: Because the edges have been heat-treated to prevent fraying, exposing this item to high temperatures can melt or warp the sealed borders. Keep it away from radiators and open flames.
Chemical Safety: Ensure cologne, aftershave, and hair products are completely dry before placing the pocket square in your jacket. Alcohol and oils in these products will permanently stain the satin finish.
Cleaning
Spot Clean Only: Address accidental spills immediately. Do not submerge, machine wash, or dry clean this item.
Dabbing Technique: Use a clean, dry, white microfibre cloth to gently dab away fresh liquids. Never rub or scrub the satin, as this will fray the delicate weave and permanently ruin the lustre.
Handling Dried Stains: For dried-on dirt, use a barely damp cloth with a tiny drop of eco-friendly, mild detergent. Gently dab the area, then follow with a dry cloth to absorb any remaining moisture instantly.
Edge Care: Be incredibly gentle around the stitched border. If dirt settles into the stitches, use a dry, soft-bristled brush to lightly flick the debris away. Never pull at any loose threads.
Wrinkle Removal: Never press a hot iron directly onto the fabric. To remove fold creases, place a clean pressing cloth over the centre of the pocket square and iron on a very low, completely dry, synthetic setting, strictly avoiding the outer borders.
Handling &Use
Mind the Jacket Lining: Ensure your suit jacket pocket is clean and free of abrasive debris or rough interior seams before inserting the square.
Protect the Weave: Duchess satin is prone to snagging. Be mindful of rough surfaces, sharp jewellery, sequins, or abrasive clothing textures when wearing the bag.
Fold Gently: Avoid pressing sharp, permanent creases into the fabric with your fingernails when creating your desired style (e.g., a Presidential or Three-Point fold). Gentle, soft folds preserve the satin's natural body.
Weather Alert: Guard the pocket square against heavy rain. If it accidentally gets wet, blot it dry immediately with a soft towel and let it air-dry naturally at room temperature.
Storage
Store Flat: When not in use, unfold the pocket square completely and store it lying flat in a drawer or a dedicated shallow box. Storing it crumpled or permanently folded will create stubborn creases.
Avoid Compression: Do not pile heavy items, wallets, or keys on top of your stored pocket squares, as heavy pressure can flatten the high-density weave.
Environment: Keep your storage area cool, dark, and completely dry. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will fade the rich colours over time.
