Welcome to Elizabeth Lad. By browsing our website and placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms. Please take a moment to read them carefully.

1. About Us Elizabeth Lad is a UK-based maker of luxury handmade accessories and occasionwear. All of our pieces are crafted with care and attention to detail, and we're proud of every item that leaves our studio.

2. Placing an Order When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to purchase. A contract between us is only formed once we have confirmed and accepted your order. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion — for example, in the event of a pricing error or if we are unable to fulfil your request.

3. Custom & Personalised Orders Once a bespoke or personalised order has been confirmed and production has begun, it cannot be cancelled. Please ensure all details — including embroidery text, thread colours, and specifications — are correct before confirming your order, as we are unable to make changes once work has started.

4. Lead Times All of our pieces are handmade to order. Standard items have a lead time of up to 3 weeks, and custom or personalised items have a lead time of up to 6 weeks. These are estimates and, while we always do our best to meet them, we cannot be held responsible for delays outside of our control, including delays by our courier services or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

5. Handmade Nature of Our Products As every Elizabeth Lad piece is handmade, there may be slight natural variations between items. These are not defects — they are a hallmark of handcrafted work. Please also be aware that colours may appear slightly different on screen compared to in person, due to variations in monitor settings and lighting. If you need a specific colour we recommend purchasing our sample packs.

6. Pricing & Payment All prices are displayed in GBP and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. We reserve the right to update our prices at any time. Payment is taken at the point of checkout via the methods available on our website.

7. Intellectual Property All designs, embroidery patterns, product photography, written content, and branding on this website are the intellectual property of Elizabeth Lad. Nothing on this site may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without our express written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, Elizabeth Lad shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our website or products. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

9. Governing Law These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to These Terms We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page and will take effect immediately upon publication.
